METAR - Meteorological Terminal Air Report or aviation routine weather reports of actual observed conditions at an airport issued hourly or half-hourly. This information is provided to ATC regarding the current weather condition at the airport. The information contained in an international METAR code always takes the following order:
GULF AREA
TAF is a worldwide standard for encoding weather forecast information for any airport. TAFs are issued by Aviation Meteorological Office, for Zayed - Abu Dhabi (OMAA), Bateen (OMAD), Al Ain (OMAL), Dubai (OMDB), Al Maktoum (OMDW), Sharjah (OMSJ), Ras Al Khaimah (OMRK) and Fujairah (OMFJ) airports. These TAFs are issued every 6 hours and are valid for a 30 hour period.

SIGMET warnings are weather advisory issued by the Aviation Meteorology of Abu Dhabi and is valid for the UAE Flight information Region (FIR). SIGMET is a short-term weather warning issued when hazardous weather conditions occur or are expected to occur in the area. The weather phenomena for which a SIGMET (WS SIGMET) is issued are as follows:
Volcanic Ash advisory reports are issued by Volcanic Ash Advisory Centers (VAAC). The purpose of VAAC is to gather information from volcano observatories, satellite images, pilot reports about atmospheric volcanic ash clouds that may endanger aviation. These reports are then disseminated to other adjacent VAAC centers located worlwide. There are currently 9 centers worlwide namely Anchorage, Buenos Aires, Darwin, London, Montreal, Tokyo, Toulouse, Washington, and Wellington.
Tropical Cyclone advisory reports are issued by Tropical Cyclone Advisory Centers (TCAC). These centers are responsible for the warnings concerning tropical cyclone locations, intensity and movement. They are composed of Regional Specialized Meteorology Centers (RSMC) which includes Miami, Honolulu, New Delhi, La Reunion, Nadi, Tokyo and Tropical Cyclone Warnings Centers (TCWC) which includes Perth, Darwin, Brisbane and Wellington.
Space weather events occur when a violent solar phenomena from the sun create a space weather effects on earth which can pose hazard to human activities. It causes disruptions to aviation communications, navigation and surveillance systems, and elevates radiation dose levels at flight altitudes. Designated ICAO centers that are responsible for issuing space weather advisories are: PECASUS (Pan-European Consortium for Aviation Space Weather User Services), ACFJ (Australia, Canada, France, Japan) and NOAA - SWPC (Space Weather Prediction Center) in United States.

SADIS Administrative messages are essential for aviation operations because it contains advise on model or product difficulties, changes and system issues. These are used to inform users of operational matters relating to the SADIS service.
